My apologies for not getting to these last week. It was the craziest week of my life but I hope to make up for it now. The most notable part of week 10 was we finally got some winners. Both of our last survivors picked duds and will share the $100 pot. This was fun, I hope to do it again next year. Congrats to our first 2 check recipients, Electric Boogaloo and Quinshon & Friends. Let’s see what we got, we’re really getting down to it and have officially eliminated 2 teams from the playoffs. Let’s see what we got!
- Dolphin’s Country
Such an interesting situation here. Yes, you are eliminated, but you still can shake up the entire league with your week 12 matchup. You face off against our first place team, a team with a pretty bad bye week and a backup QB seeing stars still. At the moment you are the hands down projected winner of the match. Just when we thought this season was as crazy as it could get, how crazy would it be for Country to pull it out over Matata?
- Drake Me Off
Your inaugural season in the RBFFL has ended in a week 11 elimination but you too have a great chance to make the league interesting. When you set your lineup you will be projected take out last years Champ, Kekambas. A win by your squad would put Kekambas on a win out just to have a chance at the last playoff spot scenario. Keep it up and shock the world young man. You can RSVP to the up setters ball with this statement win in week 12.
- Cuchillos y Gallos
Cuchillos is on the edge of elimination. You have to win out and you need the Baby Jesus to find a way to get pretty much everyone above you to lose out. I don’t think it’s possible but who the hell knows at this point. I don’t have enough screens to try to create every scenario that is needed to get you in but all I do know is there is still a way. Step one is to prove your projection right and take out Dixon Yamada!
- Quinshon and Friends
You are the lowest ranked team that is holding on to a playoff spot and it’s not even the last spot. Your year to date points total will definitely lose your playoff spot if you can’t hold the one game lead you have on the three 6 win teams. You’re looking good against Boogaloo in week 12, pending whatever moves he makes to clean up those bye weeks. What you really need is for Bucky Irving to take another week off. And it wouldn’t hurt if Rice and the Chiefs took another dump. Whatever man, your in the playoffs right now, hang on to it and win out, you control your own destiny. Aim High!
- Dixon Yamada
DY is in a position to eliminate a third team this week if they can keep their own playoff hopes alive by taking out Cuchillos. You’re in the mix. But your schedule is not in your favor, not that you aren’t going to win but more because the teams you’re playing are all below you in the standings. If you could just have matched up with one of those other 6 win teams, a win out would almost assuredly send you to the playoffs, but you don’t. So you need a little help so you should be rooting for The Visitors, Cobra and lowly Drake Me Off in week 12, especially Cobra.
6.(Tie) Kekambas
You are also on the outside looking in at the moment. You’ll probably need to win out unless that Kekamba magic finds a way to keep your other 6 game winners from becoming 7 game winners. I mentioned earlier that you face DMO in 12 and it is much closer a projection then you would think against our 11th ranked team. You also have a date with First Place Matata to end the season. Let’s hope that match has meaning and you’ve kept yourself in striking position
- (Tie) Team EbarMedia
Your squad really came alive in the second half of this season and you were eve our Top Bulldog this week but it might have been a case of too little too late. You are in the same position as Dixon Yamada. You need to win out and you need each of those 6 win teams to get a loss. You have the power to give one of those teams a loss in the Arizona Bowl against DY. I know it’s hard to root for a Mark, but you sure should be a Cobra fan this weekend.
- Team TheMint1
You are hanging on to that last playoff spot by owning all the tie breakers with about an 80 point lead in YTD points over Kekambas and even more so over DY. You also beat them both so if you end up in a 2 team tie, you own the head to head tie breaker as well. This week you will need your best effort to keep that security because Cobra’s squad straight up has the highest projection I can remember this season. I can’t remember another team ever having a 130+ projection. That being said, The Patriots still suck and I can see them losing to the Bengals this week and if it isn’t a shoot out, you might be able to pull out the W.
- The Visitors
In week 2, Kekambas squeaked by Cuchillos 108 to 105. That week Joe Burrow became a deceased human and put up a paltry 7.80 points. That is the lowest amount of points a QB has scored this year in a winning effort for their RBFFL team. That was until Justin Herbert and Quinshon and Friends pulled out a W this week with 4.15 insanely low points… WHICH was second lowest to my Visitors win with a mere .65 from Lamar Jackson. He had 10 rushing yards, that’s a point. So on throwing alone it would have been a negative day while still pulling out the win, for both The Visitors and The Ravens. I’m going to need more to pull out a W against surging EbarMedia.
- Marion Cobra Cobretti
You are in a interesting situation. You have a 1 game lead over the last playoff spot team, The Mint… You also have 2 game against them in these final 3. Jonathan Taylor is by far the best fantasy player this year and he’s coming off two things, his best game of the season AND a bye week. Well rested, will he be able to be enough to take you down? Honestly I think we’re going to see who won this trade in these last 3 weeks. This is the best storyline down the stretch!
- Electric Boogaloo
Boogaloo and Q&F shared the Survivor pool and now they share a matchup this week. I feel it’s safe to say that whoever wins this one will have punched a ticket to the playoffs. After this week you might get the bends as you finish your season with Top Ranked Matata and Bottom Ranked Dolphins Country. There is a universe where you win out and Matata loses this week to the very same Dolphins Country and you find yourself with the number 1 seed in the playoffs
- Nakua Matata
Lackluster win this week but enough to keep you in the top spot. Honestly you were Ashton Jeanty being drafted by an actual NFL team away from our league being in a 6 way tie for first place. Dolphins Country is not being counted out this week against you and if this happens, all hell is going to break loose in our standings. Then you finish off against Boogaloo looking for that top seed and Kekambas looking to keep his champion defense alive. This has been a great season fellas. Can’t wait to see how it all ends up!
